RECORDMAX CAMERA
HOW-TO & MANUAL
Complete setup guide for your RecordMax action camera
STEP 1
You'll Need an SD Card
Your RecordMax camera requires a Class 10 MicroSD card — we recommend between 64GB and 256GB depending on your needs. The camera does not include an SD card.
| Card Size | Approx. Recording Time |
|---|---|
| 32 GB | ~12 hours |
| 64 GB | ~25 hours |
| 128 GB | ~50 hours |
| 256 GB | ~100 hours |
Insert the card into the MicroSD slot on the camera body before switching it on.
STEP 2
Download the Viidure App
The Viidure app lets you preview the live view from your camera, adjust settings, and download footage to your phone. Available free on iOS and Android.
STEP 3
Fitting the Plate and Disk
Before mounting your RecordMax, you need to fit the adhesive disk to the mounting plate. Please see the images below for the correct position of the disk on the plate.
STEP 4
Recording, WiFi & Connecting
The WiFi connection between your phone and the RecordMax camera exists for three reasons:
- To set the Time and Date Watermark on your recordings
- To Download & View your video files on your phone
- To Change Camera Settings (resolution, loop recording, etc.)
Important: Do not keep the app connected to your camera during your ride or recording — it will drain the battery on both your phone and camera.
To connect, open your phone’s WiFi settings, select CHILLITECH and enter password 12345678. Then open the Viidure app to connect to the camera. Your phone will show “No Internet Connection” — this is completely normal.
Select CHILLITECH from your WiFi list, then enter the password:
Once connected, your phone will show “No Internet Connection” — this is completely normal:
STEP 5
Open the Viidure App
With your phone connected to the CHILLITECH WiFi network, open the Viidure app. Tap the camera icon to connect to your RecordMax camera.
You should now see a live view from your camera inside the Viidure app. From here you can set the time/date watermark, change camera settings, and download your video files.
Important: Disconnect from the WiFi before your ride to save battery. The camera records independently without a phone connection.
STEP 6
Not Recording? Blue LED Flashing?
If the camera is not recording and you see a blue LED flashing, this usually means the SD card needs to be reformatted.
Solution: Remove the MicroSD card, insert it into your computer using a card reader, and reformat it to FAT32. Once reformatted, reinsert it into the camera and try again.
STEP 7
Viewing Your Files
Via the Viidure App: Reconnect to the CHILLITECH WiFi network, open the Viidure app, and browse your recordings directly from the camera.
Via SD Card Reader: Remove the MicroSD card and connect it to your computer using an SD card reader. Your video files will appear as standard MP4 files.
Note: The RecordMax camera does not support mass storage connection via USB cable to PC. You must use the SD card reader method to transfer files to a computer.
